The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed regarding the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area each day. The service position made for intervention sassa status experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of website all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
